Awesome initiative undertaken by the Curragh site cleaning team with their Health, Safety & Environment board & the Above & Beyond Recognition program.
The HSET board is still a work in progress. It will have more photos of other team members and Champ work crews updated on a regular basis.
A voting box has been put in place in the HUB prestart area with the Champ Group team members being asked to (anonymously) drop a name in the voting box of who they think has gone above and beyond in their daily work tasks.
The Champ Group team members have also been asked to write why they have chosen that team member.
At the end of each working week the nominations will be counted, and the top achiever will receive a gift voucher for their dedication, commitment & hard work, oh, and a hug from May 😊
This initiative proves just how much the Curragh Team have recognised safety & recognition as a priority within their teams. Working together to get home each night and complete their daily tasks to the best of their ability along with striving to excel in their jobs.

What a Fantastic Initiative by the Curragh Coronado Team and our very own Champ Group team members for their ongoing support for Mental Health Awareness in the Workplace.
As part of Rhiannan James’s role as a Mental Health First Aider, Rhiannan donned the bunny ears and handed out Easter eggs and baskets at the Curragh Coronado mine site main gate and Safety prestart meetings.
This was aimed at spreading Easter cheer but more importantly, bringing more awareness to what the awesome Mental Health First Aiders do across the site and making them more visible to all team members onsite.
Going forwards Curragh Coronado in conjunction with the Champ Group team will be holding MHFA days onsite every quarter.

Congratulations to the Curragh FM Team for recognising the importance of improving their Safe Clear and Concise Communications and location tracking of their work areas across such a large site.
Curragh Mine site consists of a very large geographical area that the Curragh FM team must cover daily, and with the implementation of the Site Safety initiative Location & Communication Map they identified the importance of making the tracking of their teammates and locations as a very important safety Site Safety initiative.
The Curragh team had 2 x mine site maps printed up with the idea being to attach pictures of draglines and crib huts, in their respective locations, so that when any changes were made, they would be able to clearly communicate these changes to all their fellow team members (Trades & Cleaners).
